The Coordinator’s Office of the University of Jos Programmes (UJPs) at the Federal College of Education Pankshin has released an internal memorandum outlining essential guidelines for student teachers resuming the 2024/2025 Teaching Practice (TP) exercise.

In the memo addressed to all Nigerian students, the Coordinator welcomed the student teachers back to their TP stations and emphasized the following critical notices for the continuation of the previously interrupted exercise:

1. Maintain Communication with Host Schools: Students must ensure their host schools are consistently informed of their whereabouts, particularly during school hours.

2. Supervision in Assigned Classes Only: Student teachers are directed not to present themselves for supervision outside the specific class they have been assigned to by their host school.

3. Mandatory Double Supervision: Each student is required to be supervised twice, on separate days and in different instructional settings.

4. Report Supervision Issues Promptly: Students who have not been supervised or have undergone inadequate supervision are urged to report early to their zonal coordinators or the TP secretariat.

5. Right to Proper Supervision: The memo reaffirms that it is the right of every student teacher to receive proper and thorough supervision.

The TP secretariat extended best wishes to the students for an enriching practical engagement and announced the expected return to campus on Monday, January 26, 2026.
