Federal Polytechnic Bauchi declares Lecture-Free day for SUG Elections
The management of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi has officially declared Saturday, March 28, 2026, as a lecture-free day across the institution.
This decision was communicated in a circular issued by the Students' Affairs Office and addressed to all Deans of the Polytechnic. The directive is aimed at enabling students' representatives to actively participate in the forthcoming 2025/2026 Students' Union Government (SUG) elections.
According to the memo, Deans have been instructed to notify their respective Heads of Departments (HODs) to ensure that students are released for the day.
The institution emphasized that the move is part of efforts to promote student participation in governance and ensure a smooth electoral process.
The notice was signed by Awwal Jiji Y. on behalf of the Students' Affairs Officer.
