Federal University Birnin Kebbi announces 3rd Inaugural Lecture

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK), Professor M. Z. Umar, on behalf of the Senate, staff, and students of the University, has announced the University’s 3rd Inaugural Lecture.

The lecture, titled “Microorganisms at the Crossroads: Harnessing Microbial Science for Safe, Nutritious, and Sustainable Food Systems in Nigeria”, will be delivered by Professor Abbas Yusuf Bazata of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Federal University Birnin Kebbi.

The inaugural lecture will focus on the critical role of microorganisms in food safety, nutrition, and sustainability, with emphasis on their relevance to Nigeria’s food systems and national development.

The event will be held under the chairmanship of Professor Muhammad Zaiyan Umar, Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Birnin Kebbi.
