FUWUKARI releases adjusted academic calendar for 2nd semester, 2024/2025

The Academic Planning Unit of the Federal University Wukari has published the revised and approved academic calendar for all programmes except MBBS for the 2024/2025 session.

Second Semester Schedule:

· Commencement: Students return Sunday, 2nd November 2025, with lectures starting Monday, 3rd November.

· Christmas Break: Monday, 22nd December 2025 to Friday, 2nd January 2026.

· Examinations: Hold from Monday, 23rd February to Saturday, 14th March 2026.

· Long Vacation: Begins Monday, 16th March 2026.

· 2025/2026 Session Resumption: First semester for the new session starts Sunday, 10th May 2026.

The calendar also incorporates a two-week break from 19th October to 2nd November 2025, noted as an "ASUU Strike Break."

Regular Institutional Meetings:

The university has standardized its major committee meetings:

· Senate: Last Thursday of every month.

· Deans and Directors: Last Wednesday of every month.

· Departmental Boards: First week of every month.

· Faculty Boards: Second week of every month.
