In anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan, the University Management has announced a temporary adjustment to official working hours following the confirmed sighting of the new crescent moon.

According to a circular issued by the Director of Information and Protocol, Rakiya Sidi, the crescent marking the beginning of the Islamic Lunar Month was sighted on Tuesday, 17th February 2026. Consequently, the new working hours will take effect from Wednesday, 18th February 2026.

The revised schedule is as follows:

· Mondays to Thursdays: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

· Fridays: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

The statement confirmed that normal working hours—8:00 am to 4:00 pm—will resume immediately after the Id-el-Fitr public holiday.

In his message, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, extended his well wishes to the Muslim Ummah, praying for an acceptable and rewarding period of worship and prayer.
