FUDMA reviewed academic calendar for 2nd semester 2025/2026 Session

The Management of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), through its Directorate of Academic Planning and Monitoring, has officially released the reviewed academic calendar for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session. The calendar outlines key academic activities, timelines, and important dates for students and staff.

According to the approved schedule, the second semester activities will commence with the arrival of 300 to 500 Level students on Sunday, 11th January 2026. Registration for all students is scheduled to begin on Monday, 12th January 2026 and will run until Saturday, 31st January 2026.

Students who fail to complete their registration within the stipulated period will have an opportunity for late registration, which has been fixed from Monday, 2nd February to Saturday, 7th February 2026. This will be followed by the add and drop of courses exercise, scheduled to take place from Monday, 16th February to Monday, 23rd February 2026.

Academic lectures for the semester are expected to begin on Thursday, 29th January 2026 and will continue until Thursday, 16th April 2026, covering a total duration of eleven weeks. A brief lecture-free period has been approved for Friday, 17th April and Saturday, 18th April 2026.

Lectures will resume after the break on Monday, 20th April 2026 and continue until Saturday, 2nd May 2026. The second semester examinations are scheduled to commence on Monday, 4th May 2026 and end on Saturday, 23rd May 2026.

Following the conclusion of examinations, the marking of scripts will take place from Monday, 25th May to Monday, 15th June 2026. The university has also scheduled a voluntary entrepreneurship training programme for students, which will run from Tuesday, 9th June to Friday, 10th July 2026.

In preparation for the release of results, departmental board result consideration has been fixed for Tuesday, 16th June to Saturday, 20th June 2026. This will be followed by faculty board result consideration from Monday, 22nd June to Wednesday, 24th June 2026.

The academic process will proceed to the Senate Business Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, 25th June to Tuesday, 30th June 2026, while the final Senate meeting to approve the results will hold on Thursday, 2nd July 2026.

The university management also announced that the proposed resumption date for the 2026/2027 academic session is Monday, 10th August 2026.

The reviewed academic calendar was officially signed by the Director, Directorate of Academic Planning and Monitoring, Prof. Daud Mustafa. Students are advised to strictly adhere to the outlined dates to avoid missing important academic activities.
