FUE Zaria bans unauthorized sales of books and other materials by students within the campus
The Deanery of Student Affairs, Federal University of Education, Zaria, has issued a directive prohibiting students from engaging in unauthorized sales of books, instructional materials, or collecting money from fellow students without official approval.
According to an internal memorandum dated March 12, 2026, and referenced FUEZ/DSA/VC/004, the directive specifically addresses Class Representatives of both NCE and Undergraduate programmes who may be involved in such activities.
The Dean of Student Affairs stated that the university management has observed cases where some students sell books, reading materials, and other instructional items or collect money on behalf of individuals or groups without proper authorization.
The memo clearly states that:
"No student is permitted to sell books, instructional materials, or collect any form of money from other students on behalf of any person or organization without obtaining prior approval from the Dean, Students Affairs Division."
Students were strongly warned to desist from such practices immediately, as violators will face disciplinary actions in line with the institution's rules and regulations.
The university further advised all students to strictly comply with the directive to avoid sanctions.
Authorities copied in the memorandum include:
- Vice Chancellor
- Acting Registrar
- All Deans
- All Heads of Departments (HODs)

- Director of Security
- Deputy Registrar (Servicom)
- Students' Representative Council (SRC)
Students are encouraged to always seek proper authorization before engaging in any financial or material transactions involving fellow students.
