FULokoja SUG update on NELFUND refund

The Students Union Government (SUG) of Federal University Lokoja has finally broken the silence on the long-awaited NELFUND school fees refund, assuring all affected students that the delay is almost over. This was contained in a letter signed by the SUG president.

Dear Great Students,

The Students Union Government (SUG), under the leadership of Comr. Joseph Adomu Adopisa, wishes to address the concerns surrounding the delay in the refund of the NELFUND school fees.

We understand the anxiety and expectations of students regarding this matter, especially considering that many depend on these funds for important personal and academic needs. We sincerely appreciate your patience so far.

“Be informed that the issues previously encountered with the NELFUND office have now been resolved, and the refund process is currently at its final stage in the school’s administrative system.”

All eligible students — both Batch A and Batch B — whose NELFUND portal status shows “disbursed” and who have already paid their school fees will receive their refunds accordingly.

The SUG kindly urges all affected students to remain calm and patient as final processes are being concluded. The union is pleased to inform you that refund disbursement is expected to commence on or before Friday, April 10, 2026.

The Students Union Government is working tirelessly to ensure a smooth and transparent process, as the interest and welfare of students remain our topmost priority. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
