FULafia announces 41st Inaugural Lecture
The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) is set to host its 41st Inaugural Lecture Series on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. The event, to be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, will feature Professor Abiodun Olaide Iyoro from the Department of Library and Information Science.
The lecture, titled “Moving Vehicle on a Difficult Terrain with an Invisible Driver Behind the Wheel: The Work Life of a Cataloguer,” promises an insightful exploration into the critical yet often overlooked role of cataloguers in knowledge organization and library services.
Scheduled to commence at 2:00 p.m., the event will be held at the MIS Multipurpose Hall, Permanent Site Campus of the University. In a move to ensure wider participation, the lecture will also be accessible online via Google Meet.
The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, and the entire University Community, extends a cordial invitation to the general public, academics, professionals, and students to attend this intellectually stimulating presentation.
