FULAFIA update on hostel renovation and resumption

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has announced an adjustment to its resumption schedule following delays in the ongoing hostel renovation on campus.

In an internal memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar and dated December 26, 2025, the university management informed all students that lectures will continue online until January 30, 2026. The decision, according to the memo, became necessary due to the slow pace of renovation work at the student hostels.

The management disclosed that the hostel portal will be opened on January 12, 2026, while hostel and room allocation is scheduled to commence on January 19, 2026. Students are expected to fully resume physical academic activities on campus by January 30, 2026.

Students have been advised to participate in online lectures from their respective homes until the new resumption date.

The university management apologized for any inconvenience the adjustment may cause and appealed for the understanding and cooperation of students.
