FULAFIA gets new Bursar & Librarian

The Governing Council of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has approved the appointment of Mr Ovye James Aboki as the University’s substantive Bursar.

Also appointed by the Governing Council was Prof. Abdulrazaq Baba Abdulrahman as the University Librarian.

The appointments were announced during the Council’s 12th Extra-Ordinary Meeting held at the Council Chamber, Permanent Site Campus.

The Chairman of the Governing Council, Her Excellency, Ambassador-designate Mrs. Lola Fibisola Akande, was represented by Dr Amos Gizo, at the meeting.

Mr Aboki’s appointment takes effect from May 14, 2026, for a single term of five years. 

Similarly, Prof. Abdulrahman will serve as University Librarian for a five-year term from July 3, 2026.

The Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, especially, representative of the Federal Character Commission and his counterpart from the Federal Ministry of Education, other members of the Governing Council, Universitys' Senate representatives and University community have expressed their satisfaction with the appointment exercise, wishing the appointees successful tenure in office.
