FULafia VC Appoints New AI Deputy Director, Biochemistry HOD

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved new appointments aimed at strengthening the university’s academic and administrative structures.

In a statement issued by the University Registrar, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, the Vice-Chancellor approved the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Abubakar Mohammed as Deputy Director of the University’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence. The appointment is for a one-year tenure.

In a related development, the Vice-Chancellor also approved the appointment of Dr. Fatima Adis Ademude as the Acting Head of the Department of Biochemistry for a period of one year. She will continue to hold this position concurrently with her role as Acting Director of the Directorate of Linkages and Advancement.

According to the statement, the appointments are part of efforts to enhance effective service delivery, strengthen administrative efficiency, and further develop the university’s academic and research capacities.

The management expressed confidence that the appointees will bring their experience and expertise to bear in advancing the goals of the institution.
