FUOTUOKE Students Protest Fee Hike

Yesterday 21st March, the pioneer students of the Federal University of Otuoke hosted a peaceful protest due to increase in their school fees from N39,000 for both Arts and Sciences to N68,000 for Sciences and N60,000 for Arts.

Already the school management had a meeting with delegates appointed by the students to represent them. The fees were reduced to N58,000 for Sciences and N50,000 for Arts.

The protest may likely continue today (22nd) because the students want the school fees to return to the initial amount or better still reduced more compared to other federal universities.
