FUOYE student rushing to submit an assignment crushed to death by a trailer

A first-year student of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, (FUOYE) identified as Taiwo Gbolahan was crushed to death on Friday, December 16, by a truck driver along Ikole secretariat road, Ekiti state. 

According to reports, the deceased, who was the class representative of the Department of Quantity Surveyor, was on his way to submit an assignment when he was unfortunately crushed to death.

One of Taiwo's coursemates who spoke to newsmen said that their lecturer had insisted that the assignment be submitted to Taiwo who would then submit it to him before 8:00 am. In the process of trying to meet up with time, Taiwo met his untimely death.

He was said to have boarded a bike in a hurry to beat the traffic but a trailer rammed into the bike crushing him to death.
