FUPRE Geoscience Students Association launches magazine

The Department of Earth Sciences at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), through the Geoscience Students Association (GSA) – FUPRE Chapter, is proud to announce the launch of its first-ever geoscience magazine, titled GEOLITE.

This groundbreaking publication marks a new milestone in the academic and professional engagement of geoscience students, aiming to provide a platform for scientific expression, celebration of achievements, and legacy-building within and beyond the university community.

Purpose of the GEOLITE Magazine

The GEOLITE Magazine is not just a publication — it is a historic academic journal and commemorative magazine dedicated to promoting geoscientific awareness, celebrating departmental excellence, and giving voice to the experiences, ideas, and visions of students in the field of geosciences.

With this inaugural edition, the Geoscience Students Association hopes to:

Highlight academic research and achievements within the department

Showcase fieldwork experiences and academic journeys

Celebrate outstanding students, lecturers, and alumni

Provide space for farewell messages, brand advertisements, and personal tributes

Opportunities for Contribution

Final Year Students: You are encouraged to contribute farewell messages, words of inspiration, or even brief reflections on your journey through the department. This is an opportunity to leave a mark and be remembered in the annals of the department’s history.
