FUPRE to Hold 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony January 21

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), Delta State, has announced plans to hold its matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students of the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the university, the matriculation ceremony is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. prompt. The event will be held at the 500-Capacity Auditorium, located behind the New Administrative Building, within the university campus.

The ceremony will be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Ezekiel O. Agbalagba, FCAI, who will serve as the Chief Host.

FUPRE, whose motto is “Excellence and Relevance,” is Nigeria’s first petroleum university and is ranked first in Africa and sixth in the world among petroleum-focused institutions.

The management of the university has invited members of the academic community, parents, guardians, and the general public to witness the formal induction of the new students into the university.
