FUTBabura sanctions 9 students following exam misconduct
The Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB), has approved the expulsion and withdrawal of nine students following various academic infractions. The decision was reached during the Senate’s 10th Regular Meeting held on Monday, 1st December 2025.
According to a circular issued by the Registrar on 2nd December 2025, four students were expelled for examination misconduct, while five others were withdrawn for being absent from the 2nd Semester 2024/2025 examinations without valid reasons.
List of Affected Students
Expelled – Examination Misconduct:
1. Abdullahi Ali Abdullahi – Mathematics
2. Sa’adu Abubakar – Biotechnology
3. Fahad Muhammad – Software Engineering
4. Usman Mala Kaicalla – Software Engineering
Withdrawn – Absence Without Valid Reason:
5. Umar Faruq – Civil Engineering
6. Shittu Musa – Computer Science
7. Ishaq Abdulbari Salawuedeen – Computer Science
8. Hamzat Hamzat Ibn – Cyber Security
9. Yusuf Muhammad – Cyber Security
The circular directed all affected students to immediately hand over any University property in their possession to the Dean of Student Affairs. They have also been banned from accessing the University campus.
The notice was signed by Mohammed Bashir Tahir, Acting Academic Secretary, on behalf of the Registrar.
