FUTMINNA announces 120th inaugural lecture

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna) has invited members of the university community and the general public to the institution’s 120th Inaugural Lecture.

The lecture, themed “Waste Plastics’ Environmental Pollution: Proffering a Holistic Solution Using Biodegradable Polymer Blends and Composites,” will be delivered by Professor Stephen Shaibu Ochigbo, Professor of Polymer Chemistry.

Professor Ochigbo holds a B.Sc. from the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), an M.Sc. from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and a Ph.D. from FUT Minna.

The occasion will be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta, who will serve as the Chairman of the event.

The inaugural lecture is scheduled to hold as follows:

Members of the academic community, stakeholders, and the public are encouraged to attend as the lecture will address pressing environmental concerns and propose sustainable solutions through advances in biodegradable polymer technology.
