FUTMINNA to reopen hostels January 6th

The Student Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, has officially announced the reopening of all university hostels for the new academic phase.

In a press release issued by the Office of the Public Relations Officer on January 3, 2026, the SUG confirmed that, following consultation with the school management, all hostels will officially reopen on Tuesday, 6th January, 2026.

The announcement marks the commencement of a new semester, with the student leadership encouraging all students to return in an orderly manner, prepared for a peaceful and productive academic period.

The SUG strongly advises all students to adhere to the following guidelines:

· Occupy only their duly allocated hostel spaces.

· Come along with their official hostel allocation receipt.

· Respect and comply with all hostel rules and regulations.

· Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and cooperation at all times.

The Student Union reiterated its commitment to the welfare, safety, and comfort of all students on campus, calling for a collective effort to build a responsible and supportive student community.
