The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), has released an official guideline regulating the pasting of banners and posters on campus for the 2025/2026 academic session.

In a press release dated December 18, 2025, and signed by the SUG leadership, the union informed the entire student community that all banners and posters intended for display on campus must first receive authorization from the Students’ Union. This authorization includes obtaining the official SUG stamp to ensure that all materials are properly scrutinized in the interest of safety and order within the university community.

The SUG further emphasized that pasting posters directly on university walls, especially in a manner that causes damage, is strictly prohibited. Students who violate this directive will face disciplinary measures in line with provisions of the student handbook.

According to the statement, any unauthorized banners or posters found on campus will be promptly removed. Students and organizations seeking approval and stamping of banners or posters are advised to contact the SUG Public Relations Officer, Comrade Muhammad Nurudeen Liman (DE-PROF), via WhatsApp on 08026260004.

The Students’ Union concluded by appealing to students for cooperation and understanding, stressing that adherence to the guidelines will help maintain orderliness across the campus.

The press release was jointly signed by the SUG President, Comrade Sen. Adaidu Ezekiel Mahofo (Calculus); the Secretary General, Comrade Arowosegbe Daniel Precious (Hon. Oluwadaniel); and the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Muhammad Nurudeen Liman (DE-PROF).
