FUTO issues urgent notice on admission, 2025/2026

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has released an urgent memorandum dated November 21, 2025, informing the university community of a last-minute opportunity for prospective students seeking admission for the 2025 cycle.

According to the notice issued by the University Admissions Officer, Prof. I. J. Ogoke, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had previously set November 17, 2025, as the final deadline for the admission of candidates. However, FUTO revealed that there is still a possibility for interested applicants to gain admission if they promptly change their course choices on JAMB CAPS to specific departments before the remaining window closes.

The memo emphasizes that this adjustment does not guarantee admission, but increases the chances for eligible candidates.

The departments with available admission opportunities include:

1. School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT):

AEC, AEX, AST, CST, and SST (captured as Agriculture on JAMB CAPS)

2. School of Logistics and Innovation Technology (SLIT):

Logistics and Transport Management

Supply Chain Management

Entrepreneurship Studies & Innovation

3. School of Physical Sciences (SOPS):

Physics

Chemistry

Geology

Statisticsq

Mathematics
