FUTO recruitment disclaimer notice

The attention of the Management of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has been drawn to the malicious news currently trending on the internet in respect of unfounded Job Recruitment taking place in the University.

In the misleading information, which originated from one online OperaNews popularly known as a bearer of fake news, the unsuspecting members of the public were asked to visit a portal to apply for "FUTO recruitment 2022, career and job vacancies...".

According to the falsehood, the deadline for the application was '14th April 2022'.

Having strongly frowned over this baseless notice that bears no iota of truth, the Management wishes to reiterate that FUTO under the watch of Prof. Mrs. Nnenna N. Oti as the Vice-Chancellor, is not presently into any form of job recruitments.

We should understand that if such exercise is truly ongoing in the University, it would be advertised in the national dailies as mandated by the Nigeria's extant laws, which direct the operations of the institution.

Taking into cognizance that the falsehood is obviously a handiwork of scammers, the general public is hereby advised to disregard it, as is only targeted to defraud the unsuspecting job seekers.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed!
