FUTO supplementary admission form, 2025/2026

Candidates who chose Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) as their first choice university in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are hereby invited to the Supplementary Screening Exercise for admissions. The following conditions apply:

  1. Application portal will open on Friday, September 26, 2025, and close on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
  2. ONLY candidates that are at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025, are ELIGIBLE to apply.
  3. Each candidate must ensure that his/her JAMB subject combination is as prescribed in the JAMB brochure for the programme applied for.
  4. Candidates who did not choose FUTO as their first choice University but scored a minimum of 150 can also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB CAPS and change to FUTO.
  5. Only candidates with at least 5 O’Level Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics, with three other relevant O’Level subjects (depending on the programme) at not more than two sittings are eligible to apply.

ONLY candidates who scored a minimum of 150 in their UTME are ELIGIBLE to apply. The minimum JAMB Score requirements for various programmes are as follows:

Mode of Payment and Registration Procedure
Eligible candidates are required to pay an application fee of N15,000.00 if they had earlier applied for the Post-UTME Screening, or N17,000.00 for a fresh application.

Nature of the Screening Exercise
The 2025/2026 Post-UTME Screening Exercise shall be based on verified JAMB scores and O’Level results uploaded on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

Important Notices

  1. Ensure that your details on JAMB CAPS (including programme of choice) match what you have on the Post-UTME application portal. For instance, ensure that you use your correct JAMB Registration number, date of birth, state of origin, etc., for application.
  2. You must enter a valid mobile number and e-mail address for further communication.
  3. You must upload your O’Level results on JAMB CAPS, NOT LATER THAN Tuesday, October 7, 2025. To ensure that your O’Level results are uploaded to CAPS, click “Refresh” after entering your results.
  4. Those who fail to register within the period stipulated WILL NOT be considered for the Exercise.
  5. ONLY candidates who successfully submit applications online will be considered for admission.

To register, follow these steps:

    1. (i) Visit the University website: www.futo.edu.ng, click on “Prospective Students”, then click on “Undergraduate” OR
      (ii) Use this link: https://portal.futo.edu.ng/#undergraduate
    2. Click on “Generate invoice”
    3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number to generate Payment Invoice containing the Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR).
    4. Proceed to any Bank with the payment invoice OR simply pay with your ATM Card.
    5. Return to the Application portal: https://portal.futo.edu.ng/#undergraduate
    6. Click on “Application Form”
    7. Enter your JAMB Registration number and click on “Login”.
    8. Proceed with the completion of the form.
    9. Correctly enter all your details as required.
    10. Confirm your entries.
    11. Submit your application (Note that your application is COMPLETED only when you click “Submit”).
    12. Print out your acknowledgement slip.
    13. Await further communication from the University.
