FUTO SUG clarifies security situation, collaborates with Imo State Government for maximum safety

Following the memorandum released by the management of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), students, parents, guardians, and members of the university community have been urged to remain calm and rely only on verified information regarding the reported security concerns around Eziobodo and its environs. The University clarified that the incidents being circulated did not occur within the campus environment, while assuring the public that the safety of staff and students remains a top priority.

​Management further stated that it is working closely with the Imo State Government and relevant security agencies to maintain peace and security within and around the institution. According to the statement, FUTO remains safe, calm, and fully open for academic, administrative, and social activities as efforts continue to ensure a secure and conducive environment for all.
