GOMSU gets NUC full accreditation for Law and other academic programmes
Gombe State University has secured favourable accreditation status for several academic programmes following the October/November 2025 accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
According to the official communication signed by the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, the University successfully obtained Full Accreditation for the following programmes:
Faculty of Arts, Social and Management Sciences – M.Sc. Banking and Finance
Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences – Physiology
Faculty of Science – Physics and Biochemistry
Faculty of Education – Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Geography Education, Mathematics Education and Physics Education
Faculty of Law – Bachelor of Laws (LL.B)
The successful accreditation of these programmes, particularly the LL.B programme, reflects the commitment of the University Management to maintaining academic excellence, strengthening professional standards, and providing quality education in line with national and global best practices.
The Vice-Chancellor of Gombe State University, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, congratulates the Management, staff, students, and all stakeholders whose collective dedication, hard work, and commitment contributed to this remarkable achievement.
