ZAMSU gets a new Vice-Chancellor
Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Abdullahi Tsafe as the new Vice-Chancellor of Zamfara State University, Talata Mafara (ZAMSUT), for a single term of five years.
The appointment was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, who disclosed that the decision followed the recommendations of the Universityβs Governing Council.
Professor Tsafe is a seasoned academic who obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in 2006 and was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2013 at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS).
He has held several key administrative positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Life Sciences at UDUS. He has also served as a Visiting Professor at ZAMSUT since 2018 and is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the institution.
Governor Lawal expressed confidence that Professor Tsafeβs wealth of experience and academic expertise would contribute significantly to the growth and development of ZAMSUT, in line with his administrationβs commitment to strengthening education and promoting academic excellence in the state.
