Gregory University, Uturu to Hold 14th Matriculation Ceremony

Gregory University, Uturu, Abia State, has announced plans to hold its 14th Matriculation Ceremony for newly admitted students. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 28th February 2026, at the Goodluck Jonathan Auditorium, Gregory University, Uturu.

According to the university management, the ceremony will officially mark the formal admission of fresh students into the institution for the academic session. The event is expected to commence by 11:00 a.m.

The matriculation ceremony is being hosted under the authority of the Proprietor, Chancellor, Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Senate, and Congregation of the university.

The Chief Host of the occasion is Chief Gregory Okechukwu Ibe, Chancellor of Gregory University, Uturu, while the Host is the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Cele U. Njoku.

The ceremony will feature the presence of the Special Guest of Honour, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly.

Arrangements for the event are being coordinated by the Chairman of the Matriculation Planning Committee, Professor Uwaoma Kalu Uche, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration). The university Registrar, Maliki A. Vincent, is also playing a key role in the organization of the ceremony.

Members of the university community, parents, guardians, and invited guests are expected to grace the occasion.
