IAUE student scalds her roomate with hot water over an argument

A 400-level Library and Information science department student of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, David Lovelyn, has been accused of pouring hot water on her roommate, Angel Ogbowu, leaving her with severe skin damages.

According to reports, Lovelyn had engaged in a heated argument with her roommate, Angel in their hostel on Monday night, January 31, over whether or not to turn on/off the power switch as they were about to sleep. Angel was said to have retired to bed after the exchange of words, thinking all was well only to be woken up to the hot water poured on her by Lovelyn.

The victim was also allegedly threatened to be killed by the suspect's boyfriend, should anything happen to his girlfriend, who has been missing following the incident.

The school management has been accused of protecting Lovelyn as she is yet to be arrested nor disciplined over the act.
