AKSU SUG update on payment of school fees

This is to formally inform all students that the process of Akwa Ibom State University ()for the payment of school fees remains largely consistent with previous sessions. However, a key adjustment has been implemented: all payments are now to be made directly into the State Government’s designated account.

Step-by-Step Payment Process

To ensure a seamless transaction, students are advised to follow the official protocol outlined below:

• Invoice Generation: Continue generating your payment invoices as previously practiced. This can be done by visiting the ICT Center or consulting qualified personnel for professional guidance.
• Bank Payment: Once the invoice is generated, proceed immediately to the bank to complete your payment.

Security Warning & Liability

The Provost has issued a stern warning regarding the security of student funds:

"Avoid conducting school fees transactions at cyber cafés or through unauthorized individuals. The State Government will not be held liable for any financial errors, misdirected payments, or losses incurred through third-party platforms."

Critical Reminders

• Time Sensitivity: Do not generate an invoice unless you have the funds ready. The account numbers provided on invoices are time-sensitive and may expire within a few hours.
• Verification: Double-check and verify all personal and payment details before finalizing the transaction at the bank.
