NOUN announces guidelines for 2026_1 online facilitation exercise
The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has released its official guide for the 2026_1 Online Facilitation exercise. Online facilitation is a vital component of the NOUN curriculum, designed to guide and support students through virtual group interactions and assessments.
This process utilizes a "blended" approach, combining synchronous (real-time) sessions and asynchronous (self-paced) learning through the university's robust Learning Management System (LMS).
Mandatory Participation & Key Guidelines
Participation in online facilitation is MANDATORY for ALL STUDENTS. To ensure a seamless experience, students are advised to follow these steps:
- Returning Students: Log in to the LMS at elearn.nou.edu.ng using your existing credentials to access your courses.
- New Students: Once course and exam registration is complete, check your official NOUN email (including the spam folder) for login instructions and password setup details.
- LMS Navigation: A video tutorial is available to help students navigate the portal. Watch it here: LMS Navigation Guide.
- Academic Integrity: Upon logging in, students must read the Academic Integrity Page before interacting with course resources and activities.
Important Dates
The 2026_1 online facilitation session is scheduled to run from February 23rd to April 18th, 2026.
The DLCMS wishes all students a productive learning experience and encourages everyone to take full ownership of their academic outcomes.
