UNIABUJA update to PhD graduands on collection of convocation gowns

Management wishes to inform all PhD graduands of a temporary adjustment regarding the issuance of convocation gowns. Due to unforeseen circumstances and an unprecedented surge in purchase demand exceeding our production projections, the university is currently unable to continue immediate issuance.

Please be assured that concerted efforts are underway to ensure the delivery of all gowns before or shortly after the ceremony. In the interim, please take note of the following directives:

• 1. Delivery Timeline: Graduands who have already paid for their gowns are kindly requested to exercise patience. We are working diligently to fulfill all orders within a reasonable timeframe.
• 2. Refund Policy: For those who prefer not to wait, the Bursar has been authorized to process immediate refunds upon request.
• 3. Contingency Arrangements: Alternative arrangements are being finalized for all graduands who have paid for either purchase or hire, ensuring that every candidate is able to participate fully in the Convocation Ceremony.
• 4. Verification Requirements: Graduands who paid for a purchase are not required to pay additional hiring fees. However, you must present a verified Receipt of Payment to collect a gown for the ceremony.
