MAUTECH notice on public holidays and mid-semester Break

This is to inform all staff and students that the Federal Government has declared Thursday, 19th and Friday, 20th March, 2026 as Public Holidays in honor of the Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebrations.

Mid-Semester Break Approved

In addition to the public holidays, the University Management has considered and approved a Mid-Semester Break. This break will take effect from Monday, 23rd March to Friday, 27th March, 2026.

Closure and Resumption Dates

Based on these developments, the schedule for closure and resumption is as follows:

• Office Closure: All offices will close after working hours on Wednesday, 18th March, 2026.
• Resumption: Normal university activities and office operations will resume on Monday, 30th March, 2026.

Maintenance of Essential Services

Please note that all essential services shall be maintained throughout the holiday and break period. Concerned Departments and Units are expected to ensure that these services are provided accordingly.
