The authorities of the Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State, have inaugurated a committee, comprising hall wardens, student advisers and hall masters to help check indiscipline in the school.

The Vice-Chancellor of JABU, Prof. Sola Fajana, said the initiative would help the university to pursue knowledge and godliness in line with the vision of its founding fathers.

Fajana, who said that the university frowned on indiscipline, urged members of the committee to live up to their responsibility.

He urged them to lead by example and re-dedicate themselves to ensuring that JABU students become successful, not only in academics but also in morals.

The university Registrar, Mr. Wale Aderibigbe, said the university has been a model for the youth, especially the ones whose parents had lost hopes of reformation.

He said, β€œWe want JABU to be a training ground, just like Jesus who came for the sinners. We are not expecting perfection, but we must do our best to bring vices to the minimum level.”

The acting Dean, Student Affairs, Dr. Abodunrin Owolabi, noted that the committee members were persons of integrity, wisdom and moral excellence.

Meanwhile, JABU has signed Memorandum of Understanding with the University College of Social Sciences, Poland, which will ensure the award of joint degrees by both institutions.
