IBBU SUG notice on suspension warning strike by JAC and resumption of academic activities

The Office of the President, Students' Union Government (SUG), Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, wishes to formally inform the entire student community that the two week warning strike declared by the in house unions (Jonit Action Congress) has been suspended.

This development follows the series of engagements and deliberations involving the State Government, University Management, and relevant stakeholders, which have yielded positive outcomes in addressing the issues that led to the industrial action.

Consequently, academic activities are to resume with immediate effect. Students are therefore advised to promptly return to campus and fully engage in all academic activities as scheduled by the University authorities.

The Students' Union Government appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of students throughout the period of the strike. The Union also reassures all students of its unwavering commitment to continuously engage with Management and other relevant bodies to safeguard students' welfare and ensure a stable and conducive learning environment.

Students are urged to remain calm, law abiding, and attentive to official communications from the University and the Students' Union Government.
