JAMB announces 2025 most sought-after institutions

JAMB has announced that Lagos State University (LASU), the University of Lagos (UNILAG), and the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) are the most preferred universities for the 2025 admissions cycle.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, revealed this on Tuesday in Abuja during the 2025 policy meeting on admissions into tertiary institutions. We have provided the list of the top ten most-sought after universities below;

• University of Lagos (UNILAG): 58,645
• University of Ilorin (UNILORIN): 56,758
• Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE): 52,108
• Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK): 51,487
• University of Ibadan (UI)  47,571
• University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN): 46,273
• University of Benin (UNIBEN) with 45,868
• Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU): 45,777
• Federal University, Lafia (FULAFIA): 42,962
