The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that 176,408 candidates are set to participate in this year’s optional mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Mock-UTME). As the exam draws closer, here’s what you need to know to stay prepared and informed.

Notification Slips

Starting from Thursday, 23rd March, 2023, candidates who have registered for the Mock-UTME can print their notification slips. These slips contain essential information such as the candidate’s registration number, examination venue, date, and time, allowing them to locate their centers with ease. To print your slip, visit https://www.jamb.gov.ng, click on “2023 Mock-UTME” in the menu, and enter your registration number.

Arrive Early for Biometric Verification

Candidates are advised to arrive at their examination centres one hour before the scheduled time for biometric verification. The exam commencement time is non-negotiable, and JAMB is committed to maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for examination malpractice.

Prohibited Items and Guidelines

To ensure a smooth examination process, candidates must avoid bringing prohibited items such as wristwatches, calculators, flash drives, and phones into the examination halls. Additionally, JAMB warns against the application of “laale,” or fancied drawings and paintings on the hands, as this can interfere with the whorls of the fingers and impede biometric verification.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the 2023 JAMB Mock-UTME is fast approaching, and candidates need to be well-prepared. By following the guidelines provided by JAMB, printing their notification slips, and adhering to the rules and regulations, candidates can focus on performing their best in the examination.
