Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University postpones resumption

The management of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi (JOSTUM), has officially announced the postponement of the earlier scheduled resumption date for students.

According to an internal memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar on April 2, 2026, the previously fixed resumption date of April 7, 2026, will no longer hold.

The decision, as stated in the memo, is due to the Easter period as well as unresolved administrative matters that require proper attention to ensure a smooth and safe academic environment for all students.

Students have been advised to remain calm and stay at home until a new resumption date is officially communicated by the university authorities.

The university management expressed appreciation for the patience, understanding, and cooperation of students during this period.

The notice was signed by the Registrar, Dr. John U. David, FCA.
