Kano State Polytechnic issues guidelines for Pre-ND Admission

The Academic Board of Kano State Polytechnic has approved new guidelines for admission into the Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND) programmes. The approval was granted during the Board’s 107th regular meeting held on 9th February, 2026.

According to a circular released by the Academic Affairs Division (Ref: KIP/ACAD/AG/3/III), the following criteria shall guide admission into the Pre-ND programmes:

• Candidates with a minimum of three (3) credits are eligible for admission into the Pre-ND programme. However, such candidates must remedy any deficiency before being absorbed into the ND programmes.
• Candidates must possess a valid UTME result to qualify for absorption into the ND programmes.
• Candidates must successfully pass the Pre-ND examinations before absorption into the ND programmes.

The management of the Polytechnic has urged all principal officers, staff, and students to note the guidelines and ensure that the information receives the widest possible publicity.
