The Independent Electoral Committee (IECOM) of Kaduna State University (KASU) has officially announced the dissolution of the Student Representative Council (SRC) executives, including both the executive arm and the parliament, following the expiration of their tenure.

The announcement was made by the IECOM for the 2025/2026 SRC elections, informing the general public, stakeholders, and the entire student community that the tenure of the previous SRC administration has formally come to an end in accordance with established electoral guidelines.

As part of the transition process, all former SRC executives have been directed to immediately submit all relevant documents, official records, and properties belonging to the Council to the Office of the IECOM Chairman. This measure, according to the committee, is aimed at ensuring a smooth transition, proper documentation, and effective preparation for the forthcoming electoral activities.

The IECOM further appreciated the cooperation and understanding of students and stakeholders, reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the promotion of democratic principles throughout the SRC election process.
