Katsina State Gov. urgent notice to students in tertiary institutions in Jos, Plateau State
The Katsina State Government has issued an urgent call for its citizens studying in Plateau State to coordinate for a safe return home.
The Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Studentsβ Matters has called on all Katsina State students studying in tertiary institutions in Jos, Plateau State, to urgently contact the office for support towards their safe return home.
This directive follows the curfew imposed by the Plateau State Government in various areas due to escalating security challenges, including banditry and related issues. The Katsina State Government, under the leadership of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, emphasizes that the safety and welfare of its students remain a top priority.
Speaking on the current situation, the Special Assistant confirmed that arrangements have been finalized to assist all students willing to return to Katsina. "We call on all Katsina students in Jos to contact our office immediately for support to return home safely," the Special Assistant stated.
The office further assured parents and guardians of the governmentβs readiness to act, urging students to remain calm and cooperate with officials as evacuation arrangements are executed. Additionally, the Special Assistant expressed prayers for the restoration of peace in Jos and wished the affected communities strength and a speedy recovery.
