Katsina State Ministry of Education announces 2nd term resumption date

The Katsina State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has issued a public announcement regarding the resumption of the second term for the 2025/2026 academic session. The Ministry specifically addressed parents, guardians, school administrators, and students of boarding secondary schools.

Boarding Students: All students of boarding schools are to resume on Sunday, 28th December 2025. This applies to all boarding schools, including Unity Secondary School, Malumfashi, and Jibia (Exchange Students).

Day Students: Resumption for day students is scheduled for 11 January 2026.

First Term Examinations: The end-of-first-term examinations will commence on Monday, 29th December 2025 across all boarding secondary schools.

WASSCE 2026 Registration: Senior Secondary School III (SSS III) students must participate in offline registration for WASSCE 2026 between 28 and 31 December 2025. Students are required to register within this period to avoid repeating the year.

Parents, guardians, and school administrators are urged to take note of these dates and ensure full compliance.
