Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Kano, has achieved another remarkable milestone following the grant of Full Accreditation by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to three of its academic programmes in the field of Computing.

According to an official letter dated 7th April, 2026, signed by the Executive Secretary of the NUC, the accreditation exercise conducted in October/November 2025 approved the following programmes with Full Accreditation Status:

1. Computer Science

2. Cyber Security

3. Software Engineering

Full accreditation by the NUC signifies that these programmes have met the required national standards in curriculum content, staffing, infrastructure, learning resources, and overall academic delivery. It also confirms that the accredited status remains valid for a period of five years.

The Management of KHAIRUN expressed profound gratitude to the Proprietor, Governing Council, Vice-Chancellor, staff, students, and all stakeholders whose dedication and support contributed immensely to this success.

This development further strengthens KHAIRUN’s position as one of Nigeria’s fast-rising private universities committed to producing skilled graduates in technology-driven disciplines that are vital to national development.

The University reassures parents, students, and the general public of its resolve to continue expanding quality academic programmes and maintaining the highest standards of teaching, research, and community service.

Congratulations to the university community on this great achievement!
