Kwara State Spent Over N80M on NECO, NABTEB, Others:
Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has said the state spent N60m for the payment of National Examinations Council and National Board for Technical Education fees of 6,900 pupils that sat the 2013 Senior Secondary Schools Examination.
He added that the government also spent N23m for the conduct of Joint Mock Examination for SS2 pupils in the state.
Briefing journalists in Ilorin on Thursday, he said the state government had made significant progress in improving the infrastructure in its schools.
Findings by our correspondent revealed that the government had rehabilitated over 400 classrooms as well as provided furniture for many schools.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Offa Local Government, Mr. Segun Olanipekun, said the council within the 100 days of his administration bought 137,000 exercise books which it distributed to various primary and secondary schools in the council.
According to him, the gesture has reduced the financial burden on parents and guardians in procuring school materials for their children/wards.
He reiterated the commitment of his administration to ensure conducive learning environment and quality education at the basic level.
