KWASU invites applications for 15th undergraduate Research Day grants
Kwara State University has announced a call for proposals and grants applications for the 15th Undergraduate Research Day (URD) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The initiative, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, is aimed at promoting research culture among undergraduate students and equipping them with skills in research design, implementation, report writing, and dissemination of findings to address societal challenges.
According to the Centre for Research and Development (CR&D), research grants of β¦100,000 each will be awarded to the best four proposals from each faculty. Applications are open to all interested undergraduates of the university, excluding HND Conversion/Top-Up students.
Proposals, which must not exceed five pages, should include a covering letter endorsed by the applicantβs research mentor and Head of Department. Projects must address relevant societal problems aligned with at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), have SMART objectives, be completed within three months after approval, and must not exceed the β¦100,000 budget limit.
Interested students are to submit their proposals, detailed budget, and covering letter via email to [email protected] on or before Monday, March 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
