Landlord cancels expired rents of students who have been home due to ASUU strike
A house owner has been lauded for his kind gesture towards his tenants, mostly students who have been at home for several months due to the COVID-19 lockdown and the industrial strike action undertaken by ASUU.
The landlord took to his Facebook page to announce that rents that were paid earlier this year and meant to expire in the first quarter of 2021 have been cancelled and rolled over to 2021.
This means students living in that particular hostel will be living rent-free for the next one year.
