LASU announces commencement of Medical Screening for Newly Admitted Students, 2025/2026

The Lagos State University (LASU), through its Directorate of Health Services, has announced the commencement of the medical screening exercise for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the announcement, the medical screening will begin on Monday, 23rd February 2026 at the LASU Health Centre.

The Directorate explained that, in collaboration with the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), students will be grouped into batches of 50 to 70 candidates per day. Each student will be assigned a specific date for the screening exercise.

Students who fail to appear on their scheduled dates will be required to pay a penalty fee, which the University says is intended to discourage disruptions to the screening process.

Guidelines for Medical Screening

To ensure a smooth and orderly exercise, newly admitted students are advised to adhere strictly to the following steps:

1. Visit the official LASU website to print out your scheduled medical screening date.

2. Report to the Outpatient Section of the LASU Health Centre on your assigned date with the following documents:

• A printed copy of your medical screening schedule
• Two (2) recent passport photographs
• A copy of the receipt for payment of the medical screening fee

The University urged all newly admitted students, parents and guardians, as well as members of staff, to comply fully with the outlined schedule and requirements.
