LASU notice to Staff, Students on Insecurity in Ojo Campus

The University Management wishes to inform members of the Lagos State University community of emerging security concerns in areas surrounding the Ojo Campus. Intelligence reports indicate heightened tensions linked to ongoing clashes among rival groups in nearby communities. While security agencies are actively working to restore calm, the situation requires increased awareness and precautions from all members of the University.

All staff and students are strongly advised to adhere to the following precautionary measures:

• Avoid unnecessary movement outside the campus, especially at night.

• Do not walk alone in isolated or poorly lit areas.

•Refrain from attending off-campus social gatherings or parties at this time.

•Always move in groups where necessary and remain security-conscious.

•Avoid loitering in areas known for security risks.

•Promptly report any suspicious activity or gatherings within or around the campus.
