LASU releases 37th SUG election timetable

The Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has approved the conduct of the 37th Lagos State University Students’ Union (LASUSU) General Elections for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

The elections will hold as follows:

• Saturday, 23rd May 2026 – Students’ Parliamentary Council (SPC) Elections

• Monday, 25th May 2026 – Students’ Executive Council (SEC) Elections

• Tuesday, 26th May 2026 – College, School, Faculty, and Departmental Elections

Approved polling centres are as follows:

1. Faculty of Arts – Language Laboratory; Theatre Arts Auditorium

2. Faculty of Education – 3-in-1 Theatre Hall II; Sandwich Hall I; TETFund Building Complex Hall 4

3. Faculty of Engineering, School of Agriculture & School of Environmental Sciences – ECE Classroom I (Downhill), II & III

4. Faculty of Law– Law Library

5. Faculty of Management Sciences – FMS Resource Centre; Gbajabiamila Conference Centre; Accounting Conference Room

6. Faculty of Social Sciences – ECO Hall; Political Science Classroom

7. Faculty of Communication and Media Studies – E-Library/Media Centre

8. School of Transport and Logistics & School Resource Centre – GIS Computer Laboratory

9. Faculty of Science – M.B.A. Hall (Medical, Engineering, and Agriculture); S.L. Edu Hall; Science Classroom, Microbiology Hall II

10. School of Library, Archival, and Information Science – Classroom Complex

11. College of Medicine – ICT Centre, LASUCOM

12. Collation Centre – Zenith Bank ICT Centre

Management urges all students to conduct themselves peacefully and responsibly throughout the electoral period and to participate actively in the democratic process. The University remains committed to ensuring free, fair, and peaceful elections across all campuses.

Accordingly, the Provost, College of Medicine, and Deans of Faculties/Schools are kindly requested to make the polling centres available for the elections scheduled for 9.00 a.m. on Monday, 25th May 2026.
