LASU senate guidelines for 2025/2026 1st semester CBT exam
Ahead of the first semester examinations scheduled to commence on Monday, 26th January 2026, the Senate of Lagos State University has issued a comprehensive set of guidelines to ensure a seamless and orderly conduct of Computer-Based Tests (CBT).
The regulations, approved during the 326th Statutory Meeting on January 8, 2026, are mandatory for all full-time students. University management emphasizes a zero-tolerance policy toward examination malpractice and misconduct.
The Buba Marwa Auditorium has been designated as the official holding bay for all students slated for CBT exams at the LASU Computer Test Centre (LASU-CTC). To maintain order, only students currently scheduled for an exam session will be granted access to the auditorium.
To sit for any computer-based examination, students must present the following three documents for verification:
A valid University ID Card.
A printed Examination Docket.
The official CBT Examination Schedule.
Note: Invigilators will perform identity checks both before entry and during the course of the exam.
Timing and Conduct
Arrival: Students must report according to the time on their examination slips and are required to arrive at least 15 minutes early.
Queueing: Orderly queues must be maintained at all times. Entry and exit will be strictly regulated by authorized invigilators.
Identification: Face concealment or any form of facial covering is strictly prohibited for the duration of the examination.
Students facing timetable clashes between CBT and non-CBT courses, or any other examination-related issues, are advised to report immediately to their Course Lecturers, Course Advisers, Heads of Department, or Deans before the exams begin. In the event of any emergency, students must follow the instructions of authorized officials promptly.
For the well-being of the student body, the University strongly advises all candidates to eat a proper meal before their session to avoid physical weakness or discomfort. Additionally, students are required to exit the examination premises immediately after finishing their papers; loitering around the CBT Centre or the holding bay is strictly forbidden.
The University management wishes all students a successful examination period.
