LASU SSANU and NASU suspend planned strike

Sequel to the timely intervention and assurances of the Acting Vice Chancellor on the subject above, we hereby write to revert our stand on the cessation of our services, effective from Monday, 18th January, 2021 as earlier proposed

By this decision we look forward to the immediate payment of the end of year bonus tomorrow 18 January, 2021 to our members and the payment of the one-third of the eighteen (18) months minimum wage arrears on or before the end of the month of January, 2021.

With these assurances, we assure the University Management that all activities related to the conduct of the 2019/2020 Harmattan Semester Examinations would proceed unhindered.

We use this opportunity to count on the trust of the University Management that all promises to our Unions are strictly adhered to in the interest of industrial peace in the University.
